The area of Novy Smokovoc can be ranked among spa parts of Stary Smokovec. It is a very significant place for archeologists, becouse a great finding place has been discvered here. The finding place is located approx. 2 km south-eastward by Slavkovsky potok (river). Now there is a medical institution specialized on respiratory desiases (tuberculosis etc.).
